Germany Seizes Control of Russian Refineries

Crisis-hit Germany is grasping at straws to somehow get through the coming winter months, which promise to turn Europe’s largest economy upside down. The gas crisis that Germany faces is largely in retaliation to it providing weapons to Ukraine and imposing sanctions on Moscow. Vladimir Putin is looking to punish Germany for its actions. However, Germany is inflicting a major wound on itself – by deciding to place an embargo on Russian crude oil from December this year, along with another European nations.
