Russia’s war on Ukraine and its economic fallout is likely to stay top of Germany’s political agenda in 2023. Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s government has already pushed through relief packages to help offset rising energy prices for Germans. It’s feared the economic pinch could undermine public support for the government’s Ukraine policies.
