Germany has been a leading contributor of military aid to Ukraine. However, its latest supply of aid could cause a problem back home. Germany is sending two air defence systems to Kyiv. Leading German arms maker has said this could leave Berlin unprotected. In a podcast, Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger said the two systems in question, Skynex and Skyranger, were commissioned by the German govt to protect airspace over Berlin, but will now be sent to Kyiv within a year.
