Australian PM Anthony Albanese on Thursday cried as he outlined key details for a proposed referendum later this year on recognising the country’s Indigenous people in its 122-year-old constitution. Albanese said that voting for the establishment of a permanent Indigenous committee in Parliament was “the best chance” for Australia to address the injustices of the past.
