Bolsonaro supporters storm Brazil’s Congress, presidential palace
Hundreds of supporters of the ousted former president Jair Bolsonaro have stormed Brazil’s National Congress in the capital Brasilia. They’ve been protesting since the inauguration a week ago of his sucessor Luis Inacio Lula da Silva – who won November’s election run-off. Bolsanoro’s followers broke through police barricades. They’ve also invaded the presidential palace and the Supreme Court. Lula has decribed the unrest as barbarism.
