Submarine Deal
France’s Ambassador to Australia claims the federal government lied to his face about a secret submarine deal with the US and the UK. Jean-Pierre Thebault is returning to Canberra to repair ties after France was left out of the AUKUS agreement. Mr Thebault was recalled to Paris last month along with the French ambassador to the U.S.
