A crisis and a horror story is how the state of homelessness is being described in the Northern Territory. New statistics have backed up what Territorians already know – that the rate of homelessness in the NT is shocking. Indigenous people make up 87% of the NT’s homeless population, just over half are women and overcrowded housing remains the biggest driver.
