Russia is under increasing pressure from the United Nations security council to revive a deal allowing Ukrainian grain to be safely exported. The UN is warning that millions of people are at risk of hunger from increased food prices. Even Moscow’s ally China called on Russia to resume the deal to maintain international food security. Russia has ramped up attacks on grain facilities in the Ukrainian port city of Odesa in recent days, while also carrying out live military exercises across the Black Sea. Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky is vowing to continue exports, despite Russia’s attacks.
