Putin’s Minister Dies On Plane
A Russian minister, allegedly a private critic of the ‘fascist’ war, has died suddenly after falling seriously ill on a flight. Pyotr Kucherenko, 46, was returning from a business trip to Cuba when his plane was forced to make an emergency landing in southern Russia. A journalist said that Kucherenko had called Putin’s war in Ukraine a “fascist invasion”. Meanwhile, a self-described Russian partisan force claimed to have overrun a border village within Russia for the first time in the war. The Freedom of Russia Legion said it had crossed the border and overran the settlement of Kozinka in the Belgorod region. Belgorod governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said a “majority” of residents in the border villages of Belgorod, including Grayvoron town, have fled. Ukraine disavowed connection to the Russian partisan fighters, saying that they act independently. Meanwhile, the US claims that the Wagner Group is trying to obscure its efforts to acquire military equipment for use in Ukraine.
