Small Business Australia Executive Director Bill Lang says it’s good to see the fuel excise six-month cut, but there’s still more to be done.
“There’s 2.3 million small businesses across the country, and they’re all shapes and sizes, and they’ve been impacted by the pandemic in many different ways,” Mr Lang told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“There’s more than a million that are still earning a lower level of revenue than what they were earning before the pandemic started.
“So, for those businesses to be able to get an extra tax deduction on spending money on training staff or on digital tools, it presupposes they’ve actually got the money available.
“So, it doesn’t help them that much.”
