In order to resolve potential civil responsibility for more than 1300 suspected violations of U.S. sanctions and export restrictions that occurred between 2012 and 2019, which implicated blocked Russian businesses or individuals in Crimea, Syria, Iran, and Cuba, Microsoft has agreed to pay a three million dollar settlement.
